Streak pressure

Streak pressure is the emotional weight that builds when the user feels one missed day ruins the whole pattern.

What it means

Instead of motivating a return, streak pressure can make the tracker feel punitive. The user avoids reopening it because the broken record feels worse than not looking.

Why it matters

Products that over-center streaks often confuse consistency with perfection. Spoke's recovery framing tries to lower that cost.

Common confusion

Streaks are not always bad. The problem begins when they dominate the emotional meaning of progress.
